This cool App, essentially mimics Instagram and is available in the Android marketplace. Made by autodesk, Pixlr-o-matic has received the 2011 Best App Ever award for being the best picture editing application in the Android Marketplace. You can add retro effects just like you would on Instagram with a flick of your finger, just like you wanted. Want a vintage image? no problem, a single click should take care of everything, editing pictures was never this easy!

Among the things you can do with this app include sharing your image on Facebook, exporting your cool images to your Android gallery, transfer it into a higher resolution, choose an appropriate color overlay, add cool lightning effect such as drama, grunge appearance or sparkly vivid tone and even frame your border and change the image texture – all with a single click – almost too good to be true! Snaptastic

made just for Android, Snaptastic can apply cool retro effects and temper with your images just like you would on Photoshop. Snaptastic allow you to see the sample image’s preview to give you an idea of the picture appearance beforehand. The plus is that you can do various image modifications such as rotating or cropping which you can’t do on Pixlr-o-matic. Also, you can totally customize your photo by adjusting it’s brightness, tint, contrast, saturation and other properties of that nature. Snaptastic comes in two version; the free which includes some embedded ads and watermarks, and the paid version which is essentially Instagram on Android.

Picplz

Another Instagram alternative for Android is Picplz, which does that what the latter Apps do more or less, give or take some features. The cool thing is that you can share your pics on many platforms, such as Facebook,Dropbox, Flicker, Tumblr, Twitter, Foursquare and even Posterous, which make the social experience great. You can also add a location tag to your images, add various cool photo effects such as a “70s effect”, redscale, Polaroid effect, Plastic Lens and other interesting effect packs. Moreover, you can edit, rotate, crop the picture, as well as changing it’s layout, brightness, contrast and many other things of that nature.
